There is one other indication of Mosch. that should be mentioned - an indication that brings it very close to Carb-v., Ant-t., Phos., Am-c. and Ip.
It is indicated in threatened paralysis of the lungs.
Loud rattling of mucus is heard in the chest but hardly any expectoration.
The pulse grows weaker and weaker, till finally the patient goes into a syncope.
The stools and the urine are passed involuntarily and when swallowing fluids are heard to roll down the throat.
Such symptoms make it an admireable remedy in that critical stage of typhoid where the most minute differentiation becomes necessary between Mosch. and the above mentioned list of remedies,
the one to which it bears the greatest amount of resemblance being Carb-v.
